The Future of Goaltending

I get worried thinking about what the Oiler management has in mind when it comes to the goaltending situation for next season and future years...
-Do they REALLY have to choose between JDD and Dubie?
-Is Khabibulin necessary?
-What more do these two kids have to prove?
Watch JDD play...he's hungry and he wants to play. He will only be turning 26 years old this Spring. In my mind his development is right on par with an above average goalie in the league... this is our new Andy Moog... Dubnyk? No-brainer...our next Fuhr...sort-of... I hope.
In light of these two players performance, the acquisition of Khabby seems an unnecessary expense; furthermore, his age places him out of the team dynamic.
So what's next?
Stick with JDD and Dubie, they want it, the fans want them there and they have earned the right to represent the team between the pipes for the next season at the least. If I were the coach I would be thinking of sticking with the "win-and-you're-in" philosophy, but a more realistic approach would be a 40-50 game alottment to JDD and a 30-40 game alottment to Dubie... JDD getting the bulk of the "tough" games ...assuming of course that the team actually wants to win and earn a playoff position (not taking anything away from Dubnyk).
Move Khabby, IR him... whatever needs to be done... make room for the kids... 2009/2010's battle cry of the Edmonton Oilers!
